Why is my business already listed if I never added it?

We build location coverage from public state licence registries and business data, so companies frequently appear before their owner finds us. Claiming simply hands you control of a page that already exists.
How do you verify I own the business?

We match what you give us against the record: your state licence number, an email on the business domain, or the phone number already published on the listing. When none of those line up we call the number on file — a slower route, but the one that stops a competitor claiming your page.
How long does it take?

Usually one business day. Verification by licence number or business-domain email is fastest; phone verification depends on reaching you.
Does claiming cost anything?

No. Claiming and managing your listing is free. Paid upgrades — Featured placement and full lead contact details — are entirely optional.
Can I remove my listing instead?

Yes. Claim it first so we know we are talking to the owner, then request removal from your dashboard and we will take it down. We would rather you correct it than delete it, but it is your call.
Someone else claimed my listing — what now?

Email us with your licence number and we will investigate. Fraudulent claims are reversed and the account removed. This is rare, but the verification step exists precisely because it is possible.
